I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth ~ Psalms 121:1-2

Theme:  Strength for the Journey

My dear Sisters and Brothers!  As your Worthy Matron, I am honored to stand before you today inspired by the strength and compassion that embodies this great Chapter. When I speak of strength, I am reminded of an amazing Sister, the namesake of this Chapter, Grand Worthy Matron Viola Hart Felton, who blazed the paths for us to continue to exemplify those principles of love, faith, hope, and charity that we all have committed ourselves to uplift on this journey.

I want to thank Almighty God for this opportunity to lead this Chapter in the year of 2025! I want to thank all the amazing Past Matrons of VHF #584 for all their leadership. Additionally, I want to equally thank all the beautiful, hard-working Sisters of the Chapter for continuing to keep VHF#584 relevant throughout the City of Riverdale/Clayton County and throughout the State of Georgia. We will continue to volunteer and be that charitable organization we have always been throughout this city and state, whenever, and wherever needed. We will continue to be visible, active, and approachable in the City of Riverdale, to expand our brand and expand our footprint in the community. Much effort was made by previous administrations to establish relationships with local businesses, schools, churches, and other organizations and we will continue to cherish these relationships.

I will focus on OES education, to keep us proficient in all our ritualistic work, not just within our Chapter, but throughout the District and the State of Georgia. In my humble opinion… we have the most dynamic well-spoken Sisters in the District and the state of Georgia and there is no task too great that VHF#584 can’t handle. Additionally, along with community service/volunteering…I will focus on fundraising and increasing new membership, which is the lifeblood of this great institution. I cannot do it without you. This Chapter needs your gifts and talents that each of you possess to help keep our Chapter shining.

Thank you for your vote of confidence as it is greatly appreciated. We’ve got work to do so let’s roll up our sleeves, everyone, and get busy. To God be the Glory for the good things he has done! I love you all and there is nothing you can do about it!

With Love and Respect,

Sister Chauncy Wynn Rozier
